Your Emotions and Your Decisions

You are a logical person and you normally arrive at a decision by practical reasoning.
However, your final outcome may be overridden by your emotion at the moment of making a decision. These are some of the emotions that have a great influence on your decision making and actions:

Happy and sad

When you are happy you are more generous and you are more willing to listen to others and accept their points of view. When you are in grief, you are under emotional distress. You cannot decide and you don’t make a decision.

Optimistic and pessimistic

You are confident in the outlook in life. Good things are going to happen. Your decision is based on this positive perspective. However, when you are pessimistic you may not undertake the new project because the view ahead, according to you is gloomy.

Positive and negative thinking

You react positively to events that unfold and you see opportunities in every negative turn of event. When you are not sure of yourself, a good opportunity may be viewed negatively as a trap,

Kind and selfish

You are empathetic and you listen with full attention to others. You think about others before a final decision is taken. When you only think of yourself, your decision may be detrimental to other people.

Hopeful and hopeless

You are hopeful for the future. You look forward to each day with renewed energy and you work with confidence. When you give up hope, the future is doomed and there is nothing to look forward to in life.

Motivated and discouraged

You are motivated by your achievements and you work harder towards your goals.
Negative feedback deters you from going on. You fear failure and setbacks.

Forgiving and revengeful

You are a kind person and you don’t keep things in your heart. You forgive and forget. You are at peace. On the other hand, when you are thinking of getting even, your mind is unsettled. Your blood pressure goes up and your decision will have serious consequences.

Serene and stressful

You are calm and you can concentrate. You can come to a decision quickly, easily, and acceptable by all. When you are under pressure, your mind is confused. You can’t make correct decisions. You hesitate.

Choose a moment when your positive emotion prevails to make a wise decision.
