Effective Communication with Children

Effective Communication with Children

To promote effective communication with children educationists point out the following principles:

Develop Effective Communication Skills

  1. Listen more; talk less.
  2. Think from the children's point of view.
  3. Don't criticize, don't blame.
  4. Provide motivation and support.
  5. Use humour appropriately.
  6. Use words that they can understand at their level.
  7. As they are unable to express themselves fully, observe their body language to get a better understanding of the children.
  8. Create a win-win situation. The purpose of the communication is to get the message across to each other.
